This activity includes a 3-hour cooking workshop on traditional Piedmontese cuisine, followed by a 4-course lunch or dinner. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about key aspects of the gastronomic culture of the area that surrounds casa B.: the Langhe and Roero. Each participant will be directly involved in the preparation of a typical menu, from the appetizer to the desert, which will change depending on the availability of seasonal ingredients.
This workshop is conducted by people who have spent a good part of their lives in the kitchen of Battaglino restaurant where the recipes of the traditional dishes have been passed down from generation to generation for over 100 years. It might be Angela, one of the historic cooks, or Alessia Battaglino, born and raised in the restaurant, or Francesca. These recipes and routines have been handed down from generation to generation and it is our great pleasure to be able to pass them on to those who would like to get closer to the Piedmontese gastronomic culture.
We work with raw materials that have been cultivated or raised organically. Our suppliers are the same ones of Ristorante Battaglino. We’ve been working with them for ages and for this reason we know them very well.
